    An interesting reaction.

I didn't chat with the fellow, so I'm not sure what emotional state he was in, but at the train station today, I was coming around the corner when a man coming from the other direction saw the kilt... His reaction was "Oh my God!!" It wasn't a quiet comment either. I'm wearing my camo kilt and I think I shocked the poor man half out of his mind. The only other reaction I've had today so far was a kid over here on campus pointing me out to his friend and saying "Now that's true cool."

I'm still wondering about the guy who shouted though. I hope I didn't do any permanent damage to his psyche.

It's because of people with reaction A that reaction/statement B is so true.

I've had similar reactions... With more words.

Oh my god... Why is your hair fat! Oh my god... What is wrong with your beard! Oh my god... You're wearing a skirt!

    Blah blah blah.

The cool comment probably made the day worth it though.

The cool comment did make me smile. The wife and I just got back from shopping, and I had no less than three people come up to me and tell me they liked the kilt. One gentleman even asked me if it was a UK. That really made my day because the kilt I was wearing today was the camo kilt that I made recently and wasn't too pleased with a couple of things. I guess what someone (I can't remember who it was, but sorry, I'm too tired to find it and actually quote you right now) said really is true- that the one who makes a kilt will always know where any mistakes are, but most people will have no idea.

    Ha ha.

I once passed a woman in the mall and she yelled "Holy (expletive) it's a kilt!"

Sometimes all I can do is smile and keep walking.
