hauteur 18 cm
largeur 17 cm
épaisseur 5 cm
j'espère avoir répondu à vos questions

translation?
I got a decent, but not perfect translation by copying the post to babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/). Readable, at least by someone familiar with the tools, etc. Good luck
PS: Wonderful Handiwork!!

Thanks, here is the translation:
Good, to answer some questions or interrogations (my English is very bad)
supplies to manufacture a sporran:
- leather, 50 cm X 50 cm following of course the size of the sporran (to divide by 2,54 to obtain inches), to position the owners well to save the matter
- paperboard: for the owner and the cutting of leather
- adhesive neoprene
- waxed linen thread tools:
- a cutter
- a punch with leather (you can take an old nail, file the point in rhombus and especially round the angles not to tear leather, it to assemble on a handle out of wooden, a blow of drilling machine, a little adhesive and it is done)
- a caster of dressmaker (in all the stores of articles of seam), to mark leather before drilling
- a good needle with round end or not
- a punch to make larger and quite clean holes, as of the holes of belt working time: approximately 12 hours (the seams are made with the hand) to always bore the leather parts before sticking them (see preceding photographs)
dimensions of the sporran: height 18 cm width 17 cm thickness 5 cm
I hope to have answered your questions

That's wonderful, thanks for sharing this. If I may ask, what is the weight or thickness of the leather? I want to make a casual day sporran myself, would 3 - 4 oz. leather work?

1 oz. is equal to 1/64 of an inch in thickness. G*d knows why. metric makes more sense, but tradition will out.
