Kilt Jacket Instructions

I've seem where some have done a jacket conversion and need to have some information on how this is done. How much do I take off the bottom and reform the front of the jacket and so on and so on. I would be thankful for any direction on the subject. Thanks in advance.

There are several other very informative photo-documented threads by members here (FHCAG and DavidDalglish jump to mind) but you'll have to search for those. Most likely in the DIY section.
