I love my three UKs and they're well-suited to any but formal events. They're off the rack with good quality. They're not right for everyone and they are not custom-made to your measurements. For a kilt that looks good and requires little maintanence without a large output of cash, I think that UKs are a good deal. I've always had good experience with their customer service and shipping takes about a week.
I consider myself a UK guy, but I do have other brands and am planning on other non-UK kilts.
