    For some reason, even though the sizes are supposed to be the same, men's UK sizes usually seem to be about one size smaller than US sizes. Chalk it up to the difference between British tailoring (form fitting) and American tailoring (looser, boxier jackets).

    I think that may be part of it, however I think more likely it is that in the US manufacturers use "Vanity sizing."
