    Glen,

It looks very nice. I'm not so sure of the stern military facial expression that seems to have come with it though!

The one wooly pully I have I bought from cavscout and I really love it. I too put it on and immediately thought "How long are the arms of British soldiers?"

I'm pretty sure they are designed to be rolled up like that.

    Looking sharp (as usual)

And kudos to your generous friend here on X Marks the Scot! A nice gesture indeed.

    Cheers

    Jamie

Any time I've seen that type of sweater worn, including the times I wore one, the sleeves were always rolled a bit. How much depended on the arm length of the individual. Three inches is not out of the norm.

The person would have to have "monkey arms" to not have to roll the sleeves.

Your comments about the length of British soldiers arms, reminds me of the first occasion that I took my 3 sons to see the Commando monument at Spean Bridge. They stood looking at the three bronze soldiers for several minutes and then said "no wonder we won the war daddy",I could not quite understand how their minds were working,so I asked why? They said in unison "well look at the size of them!".The statues must be ten feet tall and to young children size matters when it comes to soldiers!
