Makes sense to me. I think I would prefer smaller toories, though, and I would still rather not have a red toorie on the blue bonnet. That's just for me, no problem with anyone else's red toorie of any size...

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Mr McVarmit,
I love your glens, I was going to order that pattern a long time ago but for various reasons never got round to it. Seeing you glens jolted me into action and I have just received my pattern and am about to make a glengarry out of scrap fabric for practice.
I have a sewing machine but am very new to sewing. The only bit I,m not sure of is attaching the ribbon around the bottom but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
I love the look of the khaki linen glen you made. Did you stitch around the top to sharpen it up? I like that look.

Mr.C,
glad you liked them, i don't have that much experiance with sewing either, yes i do stitch along the top, about 1/16 of an inch. the ribbon at the bottom edge is called binding, sometimes i make my own, sometimes i just buy it, if i use black i usually just buy it. if your not using wool you will need to adjust the pattern a bit. measure you head, divide by 2, then add 1/2 inch to the pattern. ex: if your head meausures 22", divide bt 2 = 11" + 1/2" = 11 1/2 ", this is with a cotton lining, but shoud get you in the ballpark. hope this helps.
