    As someone who never wears a SD I find this obsession with knives unhealthy

    As someone who always wears a sgian dubh, I find this conversation (no way close to an obsession) about knives very healthy. Like it or not - The sgian dubh is a part of highland attire. Just as a pocket knife is part of many men's pocket contents.

    The pocket knife and by extension the sgian dubh is a tool. No obsessive thoughts what-so-ever.

    And that is one of the beauties of this board. - - We can discuss different items, and points of view and still remain friends.

    I must also say that I am mystified when some people are bothered by cutting instruments.
