What beloitpiper and JS Sanders say is true. I have a pair of the black-and-red and the red-and-white diced hose in the acrylic. I wear them each maybe a couple of times a year, which is adequate for their quality and my needs. If you insist on wool and plan to wear them often, then go with Barb T's suggestions.

I've had GREAT experience with J Higgins. But I will not buy anymore hose from them.
But I will use them again for other items.

Houseoftartan has some clearance hose in specific sizes that match specific tartans for around $100 a pair. If you are lucky you can find your clan or something close to match.
