Wellies go with everything, but I may be the first person to walk through a pair of wellies with pirate skulls and crossed swords in less than a year.

DO match your surroundings (tent) in case of ambush, camoflauge doesn't always come in splotches ...

Do make sure your MacTablecloth tartan matches your 'coona$$' t-shirt,

On second thought... No, don't do that!

What would be the alternative ?
Thank You,

When I trudged in the marshy bogs of Scotland in 2003, I wore a pair of waterproof Polo Sport boots, which I have since worn with my kilts. The most necessary place for such bog-trudging was the Killiekrankie battlefield (after I got permission from the owner).

Yay!
I wish I had photoshop on this computer, then I'd make the swords look like lightsabers.

this is coming from the SCA heavy fighter side of me. DO NOT EVER LET YOUR SHIELD GET BEHIND YOU!!!! those blokes are fighting with live steel and it looks like a movie combat scene. I know in my barony they probably wouldn't be authorized and he would change his style after the first fight! or he would learn to live with a very large bruise!
by all means though, do sword fight! I fence often in my kilt!

its grainy because is a frame capture from a video camera.

The guy with the shield behind his back has improved alot since that pic was taken years ago. He's won more awards in the last two years than he has fngers. I've seen him spar with the local SCA guys, the Roman reenactors, the Vikings... He's a monster now, man! I can guarantee you he ain't the one living with bruises any more! It's usually me...
