Until then, I want to hear from all of you, especially military as well as blacks tracing their roots to your scottish as well as african heritage.
Always remember, we all come from somewhere, but where we come from seems to be the same place.
'Til I know fer sure, my quote is:
'S Rioghal Mo Dhream, Royal is my Race.
Aye! That's my motto
The MacGregors were proscribed in the late 1500's during which time they were placed with other clans and forced to change their second name. So, you may very well be able to trace your roots to the Stewarts or even the Cambell clan.
Oh, and from a fellow MacGregor in Seattle, WA.

Welcome to X Marks! You'll find a fair number of Veterans here, and one or two other black fellas. We're glad to have you, and hope you can find what you're looking for in the way of comradeship and help with your kilting dilemmas!

Welcome from West Virginia!
I wear the US Army tartan too. Was stationed at Stewart, so I visited Jax & did live there 2000-2002.
I'm mostly a contemporary kilt guy, but have developed a taste for the traditional styles.
PM me & we can see if we have any common Army or Jax acquaintances!
