I have a black watch in the Marino wool, and after being worn six or eight times, the stitching on the fell started popping out. It wasn't a huge deal... I took it to the local tailor shop, and had the stitching redone... but it is something to watch for on yours.

Good to know! I haven't worn mine enough yet to worry about that, but I find that I must ask...what is the fell?

The fell is the part of the pleat that is sewn down from the top of the kilt to somewhere around the hip area. Hope that make sense.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

The fell is the part of the pleats that is sewed down: usually the top third. Not to be confused with the drop (distance from waistline to bottom).
