As I have said before, Robert, that is a brilliant kilt! I have recently got my grubby hands on 5 yards of MacDonnell of Keppoch tartan, which will be my new belted plaid. I am thrilled!!! So, the 5 yards of MacEwan that I was using as my belted plaid will now be used for a box pleat. I was planning to sew a knife pleat, but after seeing your box pleat, I am completely sold on box pleats. I still have the Hunting Stewart in knife pleats, so I will have a great selection from which to chose!
