    Double breasted vest with kilt

This vest isn't entirely done, it still needs all the threads trimmed, final cleaning and pressing, but I thought I'd throw a picture up. It's linen with a poly lining. It turned out okay in itself, but I think I'd like to give it another go at some point. I'm wondering if it might be a bit longer than appropriate with the kilt, but I've seen vests that hit the top of the sporran before, so I think it's passable. It's got notched lapels, but they really don't show up in this picture. This is the outfit I'll be wearing to a wedding Downstate Next week.

Nick, that actually looks quite nice and I think is a grand idea. It may be a tad too long, but it still looks good. Now I'll send you my measurements and you can make another so you won't be the only guy wearing one. It's not nice to be alone!!! Seriously, you may want to think about making them for those of us who are sewing challenged

I think that part of it is that the back was a little high. I looked at some other pics, I must have tugged it down between pictures. I think it's still a bit long, aye, but not to bad.

ByDand, I'll have to think about that. I still think I want to make one more for myself for practice's sake, but it's a possibility.

    Cheers,
    Nick
