I ordered a kilt, flashes, and sporran from the Frugal Corner so far. Be careful with the measurements with the kilt and watch the videos on how to do it. I followed the instructions as it said, but I must have measured incorrectly because I found my kilt to be smaller than I wished it to be. I like tightening the straps all the way. Marks kilts are measured to the maximum (hole closest to the end of the strap) instead of to the minimum (the hole closest on the strap to the kilt). It seems hard to explain. Just watch the videos and you should be fine. Anyway, I returned the kilt and flashes and got a refund. The sporran, however, I did keep. It was the white rabbit hair sporran. It is very nice.
Mark was a pleasure to work with. Their customer service is wonderful. I suspect I will try another kilt from him again some time, along with maybe another sporran, especially if they continue to increase their tartan selection.

I don't think FC and SWK come from the same manufacturer. The difference in the feel of the material, and obvious difference in straps and buckles stands out.
I like both my SWK kilts, and my FC. My next kilt will be a USA Kilts Semi-Trad, though.

Better, worse? Or just different?

Same general quality.
Leather on the FC straps is not as stiff. Buckles look different.
