June 30th is the end of the fiscal year. Time to close out budgets. So far today, I've ordered about $1,500 worth of dvds and audio books for the library. This afternoon I have to spend about $500 on music cds. That only leaves me about $750 to spend on books before the end of June.
Why are you ordering so many books and cds? what and who are they all for?

You got it. I'm wrapping up my yearly budget for the public library I run. Gotta use it, or they cut our budget for next year. I'm not the only one, either. The district office sent us a bunch of toner cartridges for our laser printer, a new copy machine, and a dvd/cd repair machine.

We'll be getting the directive to buy more books/DVDs/etc. soon as well. T.
