We got Zeus home, safe & sound.
Although a bit unsure at first, he's made himself at home.
Our German Shepherd & he get along great.
Here's a pix the wife took:

I'm certain you are correct. Things are just a bit out of scale. I've grown up w/ Great Danes, German Shepherds and my Doberman's best buddy was a mastiff who was a massive chunk of love, play and wet slobber.

Yeah, but it sure is fun startling the relatives with those pix!
Zeus weighs in around 170lbs.
He's quite the "Daddy's boy" and is never more than a few feet from me, usually at my right side.
Our German Shepherd and he are simply lovin' life, playing together, and they share well.
My favorite thing, is when he gives "baptism-by-Zeus": Shakes his head, and his abundant, glue-like drool flings everywhere.

Me thinks you're in trouble if she reads this thread.

LOL
If there's one thing my daughter & I have in common... we love to "pick" on each other.
I usually introduce her as my exotic pet...
Nice thing with these dogs, my kid can take a walk with them and nobody bothers her! LOL
