the meaning of ...
Well, been busy since I first spotted this thread but now I have time to post ...
Bunchdescendant means just that - My grandfather's last name was Bunch.
The avatar is the unit I was attached to in the USAF, the 430th TFS, 474th TFW, Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada. Informally known as the Tigers.
Also home to the 428th Buccaneers and the 429th Falcons, and the 57th TTW. We jokingly referred to the 57th as 'the other end of the flightline.'

Shortly after we moved to Canada, my parents decided to use the Anglicised forms of our names. (Mine is John Leslie Hart.) It proved easier for everyone involved and most Canadians didn't even realise our names were Irish anyway! My sister's actual name is Lasairfhíona Saoirse Ní Airt, if that gives you any indication! (My sister is Canadian-born and goes by Loreena.) Such is the fate of many immigrants, though usually not Irish ones. When I moved back to Ireland, I started using the original form of my name again, partly because my relatives use it anyway, and the general public didn't have difficult pronouncing it. Now that I'm back in Canada, I've reverted to the Anglicisation, more or less. Unusual or unique names are a bit more acceptable nowadays. My wife and I named our daughter Siobhán Éama.
That's cool .
The first tiime an ancestor of mine married a French Lassie in the early 18th century, He called himself Jean Reid...

My avitar is one I created through Yahoo. As for the username it is simply my surname since when I signed on to this board I couldn't come up with any fun sounding monikers. I'd change it, but it isn't worth the trouble especially after I see all the folks on here using some form of their name anyway. My usual screen name is Phil-Ranger since I was a Ranger at Philmont Scout Ranch, one of the best jobs I ever had.

My username is my first name, combined with a nod to my evolution as a tattoo enthusiast, as I am almost 1/4 of the way completed with a full body tattoo suit. My avatar is a early shot of some of my bee tattoos.

I've had a number of usernames online, and most of them have been pretty imaginative, as I don't like having strings of numerals in my username. This one is pretty straightforward, though, if still original. The first part is my surname. The last part is the town in England from which my ancestors who bore that surname came. As far as I know they weren't nobility, so I suppose the "of" is somewhat pretentious.
I suppose I could have thought of something more Scottish, but I was influenced by the idea that you're supposed to wear the tartan associated with your surname, and so my username is a reflection of my predicament.
As for my avatar, I started off with the Campbell of Breadalbane/Breadalbane Fencibles tartan. After I was invited to join Per Mare Per Terras I changed it to the MacRurie/MacRory tartan. My avatar will probably always be either some tartan to which I have a connection or a portrait of someone wearing tartan.

Dhuni is short version of "Casteal Dhuni" the ancient Battle Cry of the Lovat Fraser's.
The Avatar is self explanatory.
Je Suis Prest is old French for I Am Ready:
The Frasers came to the Highlands from Normandy shortly after the battle of Hastings.
