Personally, I've been lusting for a shillelagh for quite some time. I never have quite that much disposable income at any one time, though.
Oh well. Someday…

I agree, I'd love to own a nice Shillelagh. Anyone know where to purchase one?

Those walking sticks are great! McMurdo, you are correct, they do finish off a country look. Very sharp.

Here is a link to Canes Canada....

At the bottom of the page. It is not a "Made in Ireland" Shillelagh, but it is made of the same Blackthorn root. I just bought one and it looks great. When I am out and about this weekend, I will get a picture of it.
Quick service, and the least expensive Blackthorn walking stick I found.

Some of my friends got together and presented me with a Canes Canada Blackthorn Shillelagh when we moved. It is very nice!

New cromach

I picked up this simple cromach at the Ben Lomond Highland Games.
It is a hardwood staff that has been bent under steam. The was some machine sanding near the thin part of the crook (not sure why) that is a bit uneven and I don't think much of the stain. For $25 I still think it was a very good deal. 40 minutes of sanding and staining made it a whole lot nicer. When it is finished drying I will try to get another photo.
Cheers

Sticks (and one brolly)
