Monterey Highland Games and Celtic Festival
Coming up Saturday July 5th and Sunday July 6th
Monterey Highland Games and Celtic Festival!
Details to be found here:
http://www.montereyscotgames.com/
Last year walkerk and I had the pleasure of watching Southern California X Marker Yaish throw (and take first place!) The venue is a very pleasant one.
Here is a thread with some pictures from last year:

The Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I are planning on attending Sunday.
Anyone else coming?
Cheers

I'll be there again, and competing in the B class this year. I'm hoping to take first place again, but the competition at this level is much stiffer.
We'll be there from Thursday night (late) through Sunday night. Probably hitting the Aquarium on Friday, then dinner out and watching fireworks. Any meet ups planned for the weekend?

I hope to be there on Saturday, maybe Sunday, depending on military duties.
I expect to be there in my USAK semi-trad US Army tartan...

See ya there!

We are still planning on being there Sunday.
Where shall we meet?

I wish....but I have GOT to get some time on the water.

First time there, so I don't know the lay of the land.
I'll be along with a few of the guys from the unit, so I'll likely spot you first.
If not, as stated above, USAK semi-trad in US Army tartan. Probably a brown fedora like hat to keep the sun off...

This may be the last time I'm on the board before the Games. I'm leaving tomorrow evening to drive up there, and we'll be there through Monday morning. Friday we're golfing during the day (the other scottish games for guys who can only move small objects) and going to the Aquarium on Saturday.
We'll be at the Highland Games on Sunday where I'll be competing in the B's. I'll probably be wearing either my Leatherneck or Nightstalker kilt, and almost certainly wearing my tan broadbrim hat. I'll likely have on whatever shirt the athletes have to wear for the Games.
I've no idea what plans are for the evening except on Friday when we'll be watching Fireworks at the beach. I'll try to find this thread on my phone and see what everyone has planned.
EDIT: WalkerK has my cellphone number, so of course he can reach me there too. It'll be off mostly, but I'll be checking messages.
