For me, my Hunting Fraser, my only kilt, is just fine - handmade in Inverness.

If money were no object, I'd have silver fittings to my sgian dubh with a real Cairngorm crystal set into it - I only know of one place that sells them, under the counter, as it's illegal to mine for them nowadays. THe one I fancy would cost about £150/$300

I'd keep my brass chain and belt buckle as they go with the colouring of the tartan, but a solid gold kilt pin wouldn't go amiss.

    Good thread!

My dream kilt is on order. I'm going to make it. The cloth is 13 ounce MacNaughton, weathered, from Fraser and Kirkbright.

But if I ever come into some serious spare cash, I'm going to buy 4 yards, double width of the Capercaillie tartan, 16 ounce, and schmooze way2fractious into making me a kilt, pleated to sett. So, two "dream" kilts.
