Mine's (apparently) made of polyester bunting; two pieces embroidered then stitched together with gold fringe sandwiched in between, with a stiffener (boning, I think) down the hoist, with three pairs of ribbons to tie off to the bass drone. If it matters to you, the regimental crest is traditionally on the obverse (right) side; the unit crest on the reverse (left). In use, the drone cord's not allowed to dangle over the regimental crest, and when piping a dinner you always start around the room clockwise, in order to display the regimental crest first.
