[Sheep In Wolf's Clothing]

This year I get the privilege of representing my Clan at the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville Ontario. Having attended with friends the last few years, as a spectator, I know what I am in for. With a couple of my friends who are helping, we have spent the last little while putting stuff we may need together for the table, and one of the things we needed was a banner (for both the clan parade and to show people what clan was represented at the table.) Well before X-Marks I would have never attempted to sew anything, but after a few kilts and other DIY projects inspired by this website, I thought what the hey!!

So here is my MacArthur Banner:



It took around 17 hours, all hand sewn (I still can't run a sewing machine!)
I am now making an identical one for the Canadian high commissioner of our clan. Quite an honour!

So if you are in Maxville for the games look for the table, I would like to meet a few of you out there!!

Impressive! Especially since its all hand sewn. I would be in the same boat...but, after 20 mins, would give up.

Congratulations on the honour, the banner looks wonderful. I wish I could make it to the games, but I had to take off the Aug. 10th weekend for Fergus already, unfortunately I work the weekends.
