As a hose knitter myself, congrats. Those are great socks. Here is a hint I picked up in the Highlands. When knitting hose for "spindleshanks" double the yarn in the back of the calf, where the calf muscle is. It makes the calf "bulkier". Of course, I'm not implying anything here, just furthering a bit of lore from the Highlands.
