There's actually a fairly large Scottish community in StL...the St. Andrew's Society of St. Louis holds a number of events a year, the MO Tartan Day Festival in over in St. Charles...pity that the StL games were cancelled this year.
StL even bosts two pipe bands; the John Ford Pipe Band and St. Louis Caledonian (nee Inveraan) Pipe Band.
Actually last time I was in STL and kilted, the only comments were from people who knew what a kilt was. I find myself biased when talking about the closed mindedness of most Missourians. Probably because I'm a Missourian myself.
