    ooh-rah. Fun to watch, wish it had delved further into the history. That show is one that always pulls me in if I'm channel surfing and run across it.

    At least the piper was in tune...but Ermey's uniform is wrong. He has a full-length jacket and no sporran!

    Actually, the long jacket was the dress uniform at the time. Nut I do agree with the lack of a sporran...

    Just to fill in the blank here... The long dress jacket was the "day" wear uniform. The long tail of the jacket removed the need for a sporran, thus making it a casual uniform.
