Definitely not Carlisle PA! I wore a UK as we hiked along a segment of the Appalachian Trail yesterday. I have met people along the trial who have told me about hikers they have seen wearing kilts while they hike the trail, and I am quite comfortable wearing a kilt hiking. After the hike, we decided to drive to a fruit stand in northern Adams County, PA for in-season peaches. There were lots of people there, lots of stares, but not one comment. I may have been the first guy ever to wear a UK or any kilt in that fruit stand.
