Welcome from dry and hot South Carolina. Check with Rocky at USAK, he can help you with "German tartan", but you can wear what you like. Most Scots would be proud to have you wear their tartan. Sure there are exceptions, just as there are with anything.

Welcome to the rabble from the heat of Arizona. There is no kilt police and the general consensus is to wear what you like. For the most part everyone is cool with that, so don't be afraid to find one you like then wear it with pride.
Welcome from Northern Colorado!
Great to hear. I am really bad about not wanting to upset people. My thinking on the whole thing was really misinformed. Some people where telling me that wearing other peoples tartans would get them upset. Well I guess its time to go buy one. Thanks and any more info would be great. Todd
I was also wanting to wear my kilt as day wear. What would be the best kilt for that would be?
