Alex,
Thanks for sharing your photos and giving us a sample of your
holiday.
There are some of these places I want to go on my next trip to Scotland.

Unusually, I didn't encounter any midges this time - probably not yet out of their winter hibernation.

I'm glad to see this thread since I didn't see it the first time, either. Great photos!

Alex, you have done it yet again! Thank you for a grand travelogue, and it's good to see Ann out and about again.
Jim and I met up with 'Jock Scot' at The Commando Monument near Spean Bridge back in June. Unfortunately, the cloud cover was too low for us to see Ben Nevis - I still have never seen it!! It is certainly a very beautiful part of Scotland (and not far from my wee sporting estate in the Braes o' Lochaber!).
Take care,
Ham.

Yes, thanks for the great photos, and thanks to P1M for bumping it back up. I don't think I remember seeing it before.
On our only trip to Scotland we were at many of these spots...Castle Inverlochy, Fort Augustus (did you perchance eat at the wee pub beside the butcher shop that is just behind you in the photo by the locks in Fort Augustus?). We even saw Hamish the cow.
And the North Carolina contingent of Clan Donald!
