Some pipers should be arrested.

I've taken my pipes through airport security many times and lived to tell the tale. In a way, it sort of concerns me that, with the brass sleaving I have in the drones, I have been questioned about only about half the time after the pipes go through X-ray.

Mr Aitken said he wasn't so good on the pipes and chose to practice on his own. I am now just starting to learn on the chanter and expect to be practicing on the chanter for quite some time before getting a set of pipes. I have heard some very outstanding pipers. I know I will never equal them in the quality of their music. I will always be one that is not so good. I will have aged out before I will be able to play as well as many of the pipers I have heard in competition at various games and festivals, for they are younger and took an earlier start to the pipes and will always have greater experience than I.
This comes to mind as my neighbour, who is a lead piper in a local band, is really great sounding, and his mates put on a great show and play rather well. One of his band mates said "I play the pipes well, but not so well as John" (my Neighbour) I see myself in that not so well class.
