Just a thought... How about a white kilt belt?

I have always liked the look of white belts, but i have never seen a white kilt belt, other than that worn with military uniforms. Does anyone wear a white belt?

    I'd have to say 'no.'

A bit too 1970's for my blood. Having lived through that decade, once was more than enough.

I agree with both Beertigger, Larry124, and Tommy Hunt.

For those who were spared the '70's, imagine if you will leisure suits, disco balls, John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever", music from performers like the BeeGee's, Donna Summer, and Sly and the Family Stone. Now picture in your mind a man wearing light blue trousers, dark blue shirt, white belt, and matching white shoes (usually ankle boots.) If that doesn't give you nightmares, then I'm not sure what will.

I also remember the white belts and boot laces for honor guards and MP's. Boots laced up with white laces in the airborne ladder look great, but you pretty much threw the laces away after one use.

With the above in mind, imagine a black watch kilt with a black shirt, white kilt belt, white boots, and black hose with white flashes. I am just not sure about the sporran. Should it be white, black, or a combination of the two?

It's not a look I would choose for casual daily wear for the reasons others have posted. I know there are a few pipe bands that wear them as part of their uniform which fits with the military view.

I'm not a fan of these white belts that some guys are wearing today. They just look very feminine to me. http://www.amazon.com/WOMENS-WHITE-M...1053124&sr=1-2

A white kilt belt would require a white sporran belt

    Which would require white shoes.

Which would require a white sporran

Now if this were a dream sequence in a Highland themed musical this might work.

    Otherwise, probably not!

The only sporran I would think would work would be a horsehair sporran which is of course a military sporran, otherwise I just do not see it working.

I've never seen a white kilt belt, but Penny's of Thunder Bay sells a white military sporran and strap. See it here: http://pennys.ca/purses.php
