Hi Ron,
As Fluter noted, it's a Ferguson Britt sporran in natural beaver. There are no metal parts. The "buckle" for the sporran strap is a double thickness of leather with two vertical and one 45-degree punched slots for each end of the strap. The cantle is woven leather and the two side tassels function as hinges. The loop on the center tassel passes in and out through two leather grommets; pulling down on the end of the tassel binds the top tassel to keep the cantle closed.
