There is one on Kilt Hose and Flashes.
If you see abbreviations, initials or acronyms you do not know the Xmarks FAQ section on abbreviations may help.

Thanks! They are the pine cone tops from Gainford, like the white pair in the cover photo. I just recently put up a couple of pictures, but I need to get a decent picture of them on me.

    kilted-fluter's Pine Cone kilt hose

That is my second-ever pair of socks, with a simple rib below. I will do the tops again in wool, maybe with a cable or lace on the sides. OR maybe a rustic pair & save the ambition for later. I'm still an apprentice here...

You did a great job for only your second pair!! I really like a good many of the patterns in Gainford's book and want to try them out-even the "plain" ones are very nice. These are a good mix for the two patterns.

I just got my two socks at a time book this past week, so once this pair is done and I've finished another knitting project that's pending, I'm learning that technique! I can't imagine how much time that will cut off of kilt hose knitting!
I wonder if that means I have to add more kilt hose to the "to do" list?
    Absolutely!
