I couldn't resist!
In the dark deep internet, checking for those in the kilted know
Bright lights of my monitor, lighting my room with their glow
One hit on the search page, seemed just right
Something about the name hit the spot
I had to check out the site
There I looked at the portal;
I thought I heard the bagpipes play
And I was thinking to myself,
’this could be a place I’d like to stay’
Then I started searching the forums and I found what I was looking for
There were so many great threads about kilts,
I kept reading more…
Welcome to the X Marks the Scot
Such a lovely site
One that feels just right
Plenty of room at X Marks the Scot
If kilts are your taste, then this is the right place.
The members’ minds are pleated, they all got tartan hearts
They got such handsome outfits, highland style turned into fine arts
How they preen in their photos, in great kilted style.
Some dress just for themselves and some to make the ladies smile
So I emailed a kilt store
I wrote "please send me a kilt!"
They responded quickly “ Just one Sir? You know that you will need more!“
And all those members writing from so far away,
I read their posts in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
Welcome to the X Marks the Scot
Such a lovely site
One that feels just right
They’re all jonesing at X Marks the Scot
What a pleasant wait, what made me hesitate?
Good fellowship in the forums,
Politeness in the posts
We all get along so well around the world and coast to coast
And when the Moderators gather ,
They look at a kilted membership thousands strong
They hardly need to interfere,
Because on X Marks everyone can belong
Last thing I remember, I was
falling asleep
I had to shut down my computer
Before I got in too deep
’relax,’ wrote a Moderator,
“but Kilted Newbie, don’t be naive.
You can logout any time you like,
But you can never leave!”
Cheers
Jamie

the best verse in the song Jamie. I logout all the time, but find myself returning, returning, returning. Good job.

I’ve a thirst so pass the Dalmore
I’m conceited!
Make it pleated!
The kilted man is undefeated!
CHORUS :
To the hilt! Head Bangers wear your Kilt!
To the hilt! Head Bangers wear your Kilt!
Well I'm wrecked
Been decked. I really want to be Kilt Checked
Dressed like a Scot, yeah I’m hot
I’ll be leaving with your girlfriend, so thanks a lot!
I got the pipes, I’ve earned my stripes
Won't ever settle for less
Hope it shows you
Stop your babble
No place to dabble
Well now you're here
Welcome to the Rabble!
CHORUS :
To the hilt! Head Bangers wear your Kilt!
To the hilt! Head Bangers wear your Kilt!
Kilted Metal rocks harder!
Kilted Metal is my fave!
Kilted Metal shakes your pleats
It's what you have to have
[Bagpipe solo]
To the Hilt
Wear your Kilt
We're all Highland Lads
Forget your fads
So wear your Kilt
To the hilt!
Oh yeah!
Wear your Kilt
Show how your built
Built built
Oh get your Prince Charlie jackets on tonight Oh
To the Hilt! Wear your KILT!
The cool guys are gonna set your pleats right Rock on Rock on Rock on
To the Hilt! Wear your KILT!
Wear your KILT! Wear your KILT!
With apologies to Quiet Riot
Cheers
