Especially you, Rex_Tremende, and thinks for the advice. Also, thanks McMurdo.
Would a very dark brown jacket and waistcoat go well with this kilt? Dark like chocolate or coffee brown.
Is a very dark brown kilt jacket dressier daywear than medium brown?
Thanks.
* I was thinking of converting a dark brown jacket and waistcoat that was givin to me, but I didn't really explain that part when I created this thread. Sorry for the confusion. *
Ted, man, I am so jealous of that kilt. I wanted one... Oh well. I think that darker colors always look better. I wear navy blue socks with my Clergy kilt, for example. So I'd go for the darker choice.

Thanks Nighthawk. I already converted a medium brown, corduroy jacket and waistcoat to go with it.
The rest of the story is that someone was about to throw out some suits that were missing the matching trousers and didn't fit anymore, so I saved them.
Also, I have put a lot of alteration work into that kilt to make it fit me better. So, while saving up for a traditional kilt and sharp outfit, I thought I would make the best of what I have on hand.
The other outfit I'm planning (Gray Granite tartan) will go much better with gray or black. That's where the Wizard's jackets will come in.

Ted, it would look wonderful with that kilt.
I can't wait to see the pictures once you get it!

You bet it would Ted. Look forward to seeing the photos after you have added it to your collection.

Getting photos will be more difficult than converting the jacket...
If it comes out alright, I will try to get photos to post. Thanks.
