Your article looks very accurate to me, in fact it looks more accurate than some of the widely touted sources that people will probably direct you to.
Just one thing. What exactly is the SCA period? When does it start and finish? I would assume it corresponded to the Renaissance, but it is a long time since I sat in a history class.

It's a pretty good article, however, an Englishman did not reinvent the small kilt. There is historical data describing the kilt to be in two pieces that predates by some 50 years the story of the English foundry owner Rawlinson (I may be off on the spelling of his name.) M.A.C. Newsome is definitely a wellspring of information.

SCA period is "pre-1600". The start date was never officially adopted, but unofficially it's 600AD. Some folks ignore that, though and go full Roman, but you don't see many Ancient Greeks, so functionally it's probably "the end of the Western Roman empire"-ish.

And remember, that the renaissance occurred at different times in different countries. Started, if I remember my history correctly in Italy then spread north.
