Just remember that he doesn't wears the pants in the family and his word is the law,
well maybe a desire!
If you see abbreviations, initials or acronyms you do not know the Xmarks FAQ section on abbreviations may help.

Thought I'd chime in with a quick reply to say that I'm also on Ravelry and joined the Kilt Hose and Flashes group there a little while ago. I'm dawnsdreamdesign there.
I posted pics of the KHs I knit for my son Eric (thebigeman77) on the DIY forum here, so I'll just link to that one:

Didn't notice the handknit KH thread here on this forum also, so I'm a bit late in getting in on it.
Currently I'm working on a dark gray pair for him with a broad spiral rib cable top. Will try to take a pic when I have access to my digital camera again (I'm away visiting family at the moment), and get the details posted on Ravelry then.

Great! It's really nice to have so many XMarkers on Rav as well. In fact, Matthew's (as in Newsome-here on XMTS) better half joined our little group on Ravelry today too!

I have been a horrible x-marker (punish me... pretty please?) and not been on the site for a while. I'm still working on the kilt hose and I'm nearly to the widest part of the calf, so close but yet, so far.

I think somewhere here on XMTS I said I would never (silly me!) knit plaid kilt hose. I now eat my words, because in January, I'll be knitting Gainford's Shepherd Plaid kilt hose for a friend. I'll knit the large plaid. We're just getting measurements, deciding on colors, etc. then when my schedule is cleared after the Holidays, I'll start on them. I'll still be knitting Tommy his dozen as well but by that time I should have mastered knitting two at a time!

**volunteers to punish String***
I was in Portland the past week and walked into THIS store.
http://www.knit-purl.com
I looked through their sock patterns and found this:
http://www.knit-purl.com/Products/Pr...roduct_ID=7311
Which would be a really lovely knee-sock for a lass, whether it says "German" or not..
How about the Rhiannon?

Have fun, ladies and gents.

Awwww, now don't be too hard on String! The important thing is, she's knitting...and she's knitting kilt hose, so all is well and right with the world.

Why were you in a yarn store? Are you planning on taking up a new hobby?
Cookie A's patters are lovely. She has many.
