Last night it was a case of art imitating life, or is that life imitating art?
One of our guards had an experience that sounded like it might be lifted from the show, where an intoxicated reveler, dressed as a Treetop Apple Juice box was being pursued on foot by the local PD. The call that came in was:
"I don't know how to report this, but I'm in pursuit of an apple juice box"

Sometimes its scary how close that show hits to home!

(I had more than a few myself near the college campus last night )

After 23 years in federal law enforcement (Deputy US Marshal) I always thought that the cop show that most closely resembled my office was "Barney Miller." Every character on the show was mirrored in at least one guy in the office. (I alway thought of myself as Dietrich.) We didn't do patrols, so none of the action shows came so close. Even the tv shows that portrayed US Marshals were way off the mark--too much drama, not enough routine and tedium. But that wouldn't make a good program would it?

I can still remember the "Brownie" episode as one of the funniest things I have ever watched on television!

The one with Dietrich and the Lie Detector was also pretty hysterical.

    Loved it!
