Well, I think I'll just have to show up & check this out, seein' as how I've never been to a Kirkin' o' the Tartans before & Central Ave just a little north of Bethany Home isn't too far away.
Is this a fairly formal ceremony? Like, Prince Charlie outfit type formal?
Also, what's the occasion? I can't think of any Scottish holiday or event around this weekend. I would think something like this would be more appropriate in a couple weeks on St. Andrew's Day (Nov. 30th), the patron saint of Scotland.
Anyway, thanks for letting the local Rabble know about this. I'll look forward to seeing you this Sunday morning.
.
Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

November 14th is the anniversary of the consecration of Bishop Samuel Seabury, the first American Episcopal Bishop:

Yes, how formal is the service? I've been puzzling over that myself.

Hmm, I suppose I could throw on the PC getup too. I've never worn it during the day..which leaves me to think, Bow tie or four-in-hand?

Your choice. I'll be in black shirt and clerical collar. BTW, my wife will be wearing a Clark Tartan sash as in avatar.
This should be fun. Sounds like a photo op.

They do say, "Whenever three or four Episcopalians are gathered together, there's always a fifth."

I can personally vouch for that.
