Personally, I'm wearing a PC.
I've been to one other Kirkin' (see picture). It was for the local Scots Club. People were in non Highland with perhaps a sash or scarf, to casual kilt, to formal. In this case will be regular Sunday church time and most will probably be in regular attire.
Here's the deal. I retired from the parish where the pic was taken, and am now doing part-time at All Saints' PHX. Since I'm the new kid, I got the draw to preach this Sunday. What they didn't realize is that they were asking someone with Celtic roots, who would show up in appropriate attire. So, I'm wearing the PC before and after the services. It will be a surprise to the parishioners! It will also give me an entry to wear the kilt to other events.
Dress as you feel comfortable! PC's are welcome and I would enjoy the company! The more the merrier.
