Ted, between you and Pleater you may have developed a wonderful new contraption---the "No-Fail Stainless Swiveling Kilt Ironing Platform, with Removeable Pleat Forms." I'll bet you'd find a few takers on the forum.

It's also good for slicing and dicing.

    Cooking in a kilt...

I like to wear plaid shirts with the kakhi kilt. I don't think I have an actual tartan shirt, but basically it's putting the tartan on top.

The other day I was at a good will store, and I found a wool tie that was made in Ireland and it is tartan of some sort. This will be nice for my kakhi kilt. I think the tartan had green and blue and brown in it.

If I can get pictures, I will post them and we can play guess that tie tartan.

I finally got to clean my BK this week. I washed it on on the gentle cycle. Straight from the washer I hung it on a hanger and arranged the pleats. Then I used my Conair hand fabric steamer ($30 from Walmart) to press the pleats and steam out the wrinkles in the aprons. The steamer has a clip on crease attachment that pressed the pleats rather nicely. I let it air dry over night and it was ready for service, again. That was EASY!

Glad that worked out, Mael Coluim. I should get one of those steam duhickies; I just have a thing that is like an electric kettle.

At your suggestion, Mael Coluim, I bought a steamer with a pleat attachment. I have fooled around with it and I think this will be helpful for all my garments, as well as, the kilts. I do have trouble putting water in it, but that is my defect. I will use the funnel I use to put water in my iron when I use the thing next.

    Thank you for the suggestion.
