I agree; and really, how does it put you out to comply? After all, it is the WM's lodge. The honor of raising a brother to the Sublime Degree should far out weigh the request of being covered. You've been asked to come kilted, a fantastic request at that, so don't ruin the occasion for a fellow Brother of the Craft by having an issue on whether the "boys" are covered, or not, for the evening.
Keep it on the Level.

why would they give you a kilt check? its not like your going to give them the "basic instinct"- "sharon stone" move in open lodge are you? unless you yanks do things completely different to us...

Wear a leopard printed thong. That way, if they check, they'll wish they hadn't.

Wear your kilt. Wear something under it. Be content and help a brother raise a friend.
Seconded as well.
Rocky's suggestion almost caught me with a mouth full of coffee.

Thank you all for your responses. The serious have been taken to heart. The Humorous were well enjoyed. Thong?. Not a bad idea. Sponge bob boxers......Time to go shopping. Maybe just a short piece of blue ribbon tied to the edge of the kilt. But once again, Thanks.
