Hamish, if I might be so bold I would like to ask you a question that has been intriguing me for a while now.
With 93 fine kilts in your kollection and growing, how on earth do you decide which one to wear each day?
I do not colour coordinate and match styles the way you do and with such flourish by the way (I was going to say panache, but I did not want to upset Jamie), and I have difficulty deciding amongst my meagre 9 kilts.
What is your secret?

Excellent, Hamish. Well put together as usual. Both 93 and 92 are superb tartans.

Nice tartan, goes well with the Lovat Green jacket and I remember you taking delivery of the Freelander at Harpenden!

Hi Mark,
A fair question - one that's been asked several times, but maybe not here.
Well, it's simple really. I seldom plan the previous day but leave decisions until the morning dawns (it was the same when I was working in pinstripe or chalkstripe suits all those 40-odd years - could not select shirt and tie until the day of wearing!). Nowadays, so much depends upon a) where I am going (eg: the nature of the event or occasion), b) the weather, c) my mood, and probably most importantly d) which shirts are clean and ironed. Sometimes the kilt is chosen to co-ordinate with a particular shirt or jacket!
I try not to have favourites, but inevitably some will be selected more often than others because they are more comfortable, or they have a better 'swing', etc.
It does seem to be the case that the more kilts one has, the more difficult it is to make a choice. It's not unknown for me to be getting ready to go out and, after maybe ten minutes of dithering, I decide that I really have nothing to wear!!! It's true.
Take care,
Ham.

Very nice Hamish as always! Congrats!
I was wondering if you were going to celebrate kilt number 100 by writing a book for all us less fortunate in the coordinating department?
Wear in good and long health!

Another beautiful tartan. What a great job of coordinating an outfit. As Always I am in awe.
My collection of 27 kilts pales in comparison, but I actually keep mine on a computer spreadsheet classified by material, best temperature range, last date worn, and last date cleaned . Today's kilt is a 16 oz wool, 5 yd Irish National. Tomorrow's is a 16 oz wool, 8 yd Black Watch (colder tomorrow.) What can I say? I was a manager of industrial engineering before I went on full disability .
