My grandma grew up in a sod house in the north-westernmost corner of Kansas, outside of St. Francis. I'll have to show her these!
Excellent pics. That would make a good restoration project.
Great old house. I agree, it's just waiting to be restored.

As you can see from this photo the walls are very thick. Some of the woodwork inside the upstairs. The farmhouse is off Tuttle Creek BLVD HWY 77 South of West Randolph St. I was using a Nikon Coolpix digital camera, nothing fancy.

These just get better and better. You have a great eye for detail and that's far more important than the big camera. Remember what could be done with the old box brownies?
Most excellent photos, and what a cool old house! I agree with the others...that place needs to be restored.
Your photos are beautiful. I wish for the owner to realize its beauty and restore it.
I just have to wonder what that old house has seen... what history it has behind it...

Rogerson785, I have been by this house many times and have heard it calling to me for a restoration project. It would make a great weekend home as it's only about two hours from me. A nice little place to get away for a day or two. I have a love of history and old homes so I understand what others are saying. It does call out for someone.
