Sorry to hear it. My cat Tigger had some sort of congenital disorder, apparently, and died in August when his lung collapsed. I feel your pain. Christmas this year isn't going to be without that fat tabby playing with the tree... Condolences to you.

Always a sad day to lose one of your family. We all know that they cease to be pets and become truely family members to us at a very early stage. I'm thankful that our two border collies are still able to run and play, and don't look forward the the day they can't.

My condolences. Losing a long time well loved "non human companion" is always a blow.
Had a friend once who was of the opinion that his at own demise, the first stop would be the Elesyian fields, where he would be joyously greeted with all the beloved pets of his lifetime. I'm not sure of the theology, but I like to think it true.
