Not a Happy Day
Yesterday I had to take our big baby Beans (dog age 12) to the vet, we knew she was ill and had to decide what to do for the best so we decided to put her to sleep, she had started to suffer, and it was not a pleasant day or night, but now she is at peace and we have to think about her brother Bruno who is pining for her........We got her when she was 6 months so was our baby.....

I am very sorry for your loss, I had to put down my Husky earlier this year, she was about 15 years old, at the very least you can say Beans had a good life and did not suffer.

My condolences. I had to do the same with my beloved Wulfgang almost five years ago and there is not a day that goes by that I don't miss him.

This type of sorrow, and the toll it always seems to take, was one of the major reasons why I gave up breeding Alaskan Malamutes, and closed-out my kennel; one would think that after 20 years I could find some way to adjust to those occasional canine denouments but I never achieved that level of objectivity. So for me, one, maybe 2, companions at a time, anymore, that's all I dare commit to.
Joan, hug Bruno for me; may your days be gentle, and your heart strong.

I am very sorry for your loss. I understand all to well what you are going through. Several years ago we had to have our Scottish Terrier put to sleep on the afternoon before our Burn's Nicht Supper. My wife and I were the Burn's Nicht chairpersons that year. We have lost several pets over the years. It is always difficult

I'm very sorry for you loss. I know it's difficult to put an animal that has become a family member to sleep. But it's really an act of kindness rather than letting them suffer. Beans is in a better place, romping and playing free of pain.

Heartfelt condolences for your loss. Our Weims lived to 13 and 15 and I still miss them. Remember the good times!
