Cool pictures. I found a couple of things interesting one being that two men pictured had "horseblanket pins" for kilt pins, a large number of walking sticks, and as someone else noted not a sporran chain in site, belts only.

Excellent pics! Hope you don't mind if I add several I found today from the same source:

    1. Old Cameron of Lochiel:

    2. Sir Fitzroy Maclean of Dunconnell (aka "James Bond")

    3. Young MacLeod, upon his Coming of Age (the recently departed John MacLeod of MacLeod)

I usually carry a cromach; a useful accessory that can turn into a necessity!

Great photos, Glen. This is definitely something people should strive for when putting together an outfit. People dressed better then and it shows. It's interesting how the basic styles are still the same, just subtle differences with today's common Highland dress. I prefer the way these people look. There's an element of understated class and dignity among them.

I agree, elegance has a style that never goes out.

There was something very impressive with black and white photography and which I often miss today.
The lack of colors should be and was by good photographers taken into cosideration when composing their photos.
    Thanks for sharing.
