I've a ragg wool one very similar to the one you are wearing that I just love. It fits great and is warm to boot. Your new hat looks like it will give years of service.

    Hanna Hats

You can't go wrong with a Hanna hat from Donegal! I recently purchased the same from our local Irish shop. Last year, I got the walker hat. They are great! Check on this video on YouTube about Hanna Hats.

puffer, is it at all possible to take pics from the side and back? I'd like to see how they are constructed and sit on your head...

    It looks great though!

    That hat looks great Puffer!

I picked up a Hanna at a mall kiosk about 6-7 years ago and it is by far my most worn hat and looks the same as the day I bought it.

Rain, snow, sun, and all the other assorted abuse I could throw at it. Nothing seems to touch it. I would definitely recommend these hats.

    It just seems so... sinful.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Flat caps and kilts - please no. Both damn fine garments but not together. Kilts just don't go with headgear with a peak. Maybe I'm just too much of a traditionalist.

As for flat caps I lost mine several years ago - and have not been able to find a decent replacement. The current fashion is for caps with very deep backs which just look ridiculous. A proper flat cap should sit square on the head like a bonnet or beret. Not be pulled down like drug dealer in a beany. Rant over.
