As I was about to get married, I worked for a call center that had "Black Out" dates from November to February, meaning that no one could request time off during these times. We had planned our wedding for Dec 28th, and a small honeymoon after, before I started working for the call center. So, I did the only thing I could do. I called in every day and proudly told my supervisor that I wasn't coming in because I was on my honeymoon!

I feel for you, I really do. Reminds me of that old joke about the father and son removal men carrying out a piano to the van.

I don't know that joke. Please do tell!

BTW, It's 4 days later now and my foot's doing much better. I still don't enjoy putting on SHOES though...

I empathize. Over the summer, a five-pound hammer fell off an eight-foot ladder and landed on my foot. Didn't miss any work, but it hurt for weeks.

My boss said I was lucky it didn't hit me in the head. I told him that would have been only a two-foot drop.
