    Post Kilted Postman...

Does anybody here remember a few months ago when there was a vote to allow postal workers wear kilts? It was turned down by the Postal Union. There has to be something that we could do to help... What do you think about the issue? I'm biased myself lol

Yes, I listened to the interview on NPR Morning Edition. The Postal Service like the Catholic Church-slow to change. I think the best approach to causing change is just what we are doing here- wear the kilt and supporting others- a kind of hundreth monkey approach, if you will.

I think it is terrible when dress codes are gender specific. I am sure if they required all the women in the postal service to wear pants there would be negative (and possibly legal) backlash.

I saw one of the prototypes that Utilikilts made for the effort -- in Postal blue with the darker stripe down the outside of each thigh -- they looked great!

I voted, 'Yes absolutely'. I know there is a mail-carrier or two in here. I'd like to see how they vote.

I voted yes absolutely. They need more choices than pants and shorts.
